Dear Parents,
We had a great first week. Everyone did well and we seem to be settling into a nice routine.
Gym will be on Tuesday. Be sure to send sneakers on this day.
Read-A-Thon sponsor sheets are coming home today. I have chaired this fundraiser since it began and encourage 100% participation with my students. I realize this means a commitment on your part. It is the only way funds are raised for our library, and it allows us to purchase some wonderful books. Sponsor sheets are due back next Friday.
School begins each day at 8:00 and dismissal begins at 2:30. Please do not come to the classroom to pick up your child. This is a very busy time. I am happy to meet with parents after dismissal.
My newsletter will come home each Friday. It is the main way I communicate with parents throughout the year. Please check it or encourage your child to do so each day. It will tell about any special activities or supplies needed.
Please be sure your child has a snack each day. Snacks are not provided by the school, but there will be a snack cart each day to purchase one. For safety reasons, please do not send glass containers for lunch or snack.
If you have not returned all forms (emergency, lunch, etc.), please do that this week.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress at any time during the year, please set up an appointment. I hope we will be working as partners to ensure your child has a successful year. Mrs. Leackfeldt
